When taking a break from reality you begin to see things in a new light. I had an amazing opportunity to visit Thailand for only ten days to visit my father over Thanksgiving. On my journey, I read an interesting book called, Three Feet from Gold. It’s about becoming a successful entrepreneur. The main message in the book was to never give up. Most people become successful by never giving up and following their heart. In turn, sometimes you have to give it up to get it. I’m willing to lose something in order to follow my dream. My silence allowed my goals to set in while observing this culture that practices “Mai Pen Rai,” which means to enjoy life and be happy with what you have materially.
Life is a gift, and we are completely allowed to follow our heart. Everyone one of us. The picture above was taken at 4 am. This is a lively market where the local life doesn’t get more authentic than this. The Thai’s are all about selling what they have grown or caught from their land. Their way of living is so simple. This market inspired me to stay true to my dream. Some may think we are lucky to live in America…the country where dreams are made, At least that’s what many think. It’s hard to live in a country where there is so much pressure about one’s job status. Sometimes I feel like I’m not enough. Just because I don’t work for a well known corporation, doesn’t mean I am less of a person. Some times I’m even scared to tell people that I work at a restaurant at age 27. But age doesn’t matter, and neither does your job description. In reality it’s about love. How much love can you provide on a day-to-day? Can you find love through your career? The answer is yes. In fact, as long as you follow your heart, your dreams will come true. So get ready, because Wild Vedic Living is about to get more real. I’m going to devote more time to what I love. Through breath and knowingness, I can make this a successful business. I have two Ayurvedic workshops planned for the month of January, and many more posts to come about how you and I can live a Ayurvedic lifestyle!
