I created a unique veggie dish to balance all those fiery pitta doshas. This is gluten-free, vegan, and Ayurvedic inspired. I made this for the New Years Eve event I went to at the Dharma Bums Temple. Everyone was stoked on it!
People whose constitution is primarily made up of the fire element are categorized as the Pitta dosha. Pitta is oily, hot, sharp, spreading and liquid, so eating foods with opposite qualities will bring them back into balance with all the other elements. In turn, Pitta’s need to eat foods that are dry, cooling, grounding, stabilizing, and dense. Cauliflower is especially cooling in temperature and it’s energetic. Experimenting with a wide variety of sweet, bitter, or astringent veggies is a great way to have fun with a pitta pacifying diet.
