This chutney will rock your socks off. What a beautiful trio Mango, Peach and Ginger is. Make sure your fruits are ripe! Very important.
I used to turn my nose up at cooked fruits. Once I started studying Ayurveda, my teachers made me a version of this chutney and I grew to love cooked fruits.
I had so much fun making this chut, too bad I didn’t have anyone to enjoy it with:(
The mango is the king of the fruits in Ayurveda. When mango is ripe it requires almost no digestion and nourishes our dhatus (bodily tissues) and increases our ojas (immunity, happiness and strength.) Ripe mangos balance Vata and Pittas and aggravate kaphas.
Benefits of ripe Mangos:
- Increases sex desire
- Gives Strength
- Good for the heart
- Improves color and complexion
- Increases digestive fire
Put your chutney on some kitchari, mix it in some coconut quinoa, or eat it at room temperature with some dosas or chips. I just eat it right from the spoon… Blow your friends away with this unique Ayurvedic dish, and tell them how they are kindling the digestive fire!
I love Ayurveda! Don’t you?
Now I shall go practice yoga outside, lift some weights, and jump in the pool! This snacking kapha is getting her work out on.
YEP, I ate an almond butter chocolate bar last night! But damn did I enjoy it! and NO I wont fret about it today.
Live wild and free through Ayurveda! Enjoy life’s pleasures and tune in to your body.
